Who Am I?

My name is Valeria Kuskova and I’m a Product (UX/UI) designer with a background in hospitality and aviation.

I studied Hospitality Management in Greece and later joined Emirates as a cabin crew. In both hospitality and aviation, I worked closely with people with different personalities, solving problems, and staying calm under pressure. While the two fields were different, they both taught me how to communicate clearly, listen actively, and be empathetic - all of which I later realized are just as valuable in UX design.

Why UX/UI design?

What first drew me to UX/UI was the idea of designing with purpose - not just making things look good but making them work better for people. The more I explored, the more naturally it aligned with the way I think and the skills I already had:

• understanding human needs

• adapting quickly

• approaching challenges with curiosity

Years in hospitality and aviation taught me to be empathetic, communicate clearly, solve problems under pressure, and truly listen, the same qualities I now apply to designing meaningful digital experiences. During my first projects, I kept asking myself how the product would feel from the user’s point of view, constantly improving through feedback and collaboration.

Design for me is not just about visuals - it is about people.
I love creating minimal, modern interfaces with thoughtful details and a touch of character.

My work is guided by clarity, curiosity and intentional creativity. I’m excited to keep learning, growing and contributing to work that genuinely makes people’s lives better.
